Just have fun and do it..
Unless it's some rare numbers matching car (like a GT500, GT, etc) then you won't hurt the value much at all.. if any.
That's why Ive never been a "matching number and chalk" guy.. it's no fun to not be able to do what you want to a car.
Besides.. anything that can be unbolted can be put back.. just save the old parts.
