Thanks for the compliment as that high praise indeed! But, I'm not sure about that as Mike and Jim always discourage them at SEMA not to do what they do but do encourage them to go to school. Nathan and Justin are both engineering majors. Justin wants to go in to the suspension design. Nathan wants to be the next golden boy in Silicone Valley

Thanks Mike for the props. They were going to go with Raptor but we saw a truck where the whole body was shot with Linex and the consistency was incredible. Your right on the weight gain but we're thinking no more than a couple of pounds.

Here is a quick update. I have got to give all the credit to Justin on this one as this has been his pet project.

Over the past several days he's been working on a close out panel for the trunk to separate it from the interior since we lost the rear seats. This stuff has taken time. lots of it. It is one of those things that though it may look pretty simple, not many people realize how much time and effort is put into it. Here are some pics.

The template was the first step. Hours of fitting, checking, trimming, trashing, cutting, checking, trimming, you get the idea... the driver and passenger sides were not identical as well so had to do a separate template for each side.



Hand cut the panels from the template



Made two bends to comply with the frame it will sit against in the trunk.



Next came carving out the bezel. Your not going to believe this but he did a lot of the work with a $6.99 set of files from Harbor Freight.



We had a sheet of carbon made by APR performance. These guys specialize in wings and aero. They will be making one for G5.R. This has got to be the largest piece of flat carbon in the "UNIVERSE". That was for you GW, LOL

After some online research, he found the best way to cut this carbon was with a jig saw and a carbide blade.



here a mock up. Next in line will be drilling the counter sunken holes and bolting.




On a different note, the steering wheels is being sent to get completely redone at DCT. These guys do amazing work, mostly for exotics, lambos, Ferrari, etc.

GW this is a wheel they did for a R8. I think it would look killer on your car.
