18 allows you to have bigger brakes, and theres a larger selection race tire available, bad side is that the 18" tires cost more

17 limits the big brake kits, tires are cheaper

I changed the front tire size on the 17's
F- 17x8. 4.75" BS. 245/40
R- 17x8. 5.5" BS. 255/40
