I am running a Moroso 1-1/4" drop filter base with a 3" tall x 14" diameter air filter with no clearance issues. I made a custom cowl induction set up to fit the LS engine. I went with the GM LS9 ZR1 twin disc clutch and it has great grip with absolutely no slip. The clutch has the OEM feel with no grabbing or lurching... very smooth. This is best clutch I've had so far (and i've tried a bunch)... it takes abuse with no issues and has a great feel.

The tranny is a T56 Magnum close ratio with the the stock Tremec shifter. I modified the shift lever so it was in the correct position to fit in the stock console. I did a build thread on here that shows the tranny and clutch install. Also I converted to a hydraulic operated clutch versus mechanical. Here is a link to my build thread her on Lat-G https://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=39752. The tranny install starts around post 60.

Thanks, checked out build thread, is exactly what I'm planning, Happy to see can get console in original spot still.

Now researching clutches . With the bell housing extension required for LS9 clutch, I assume that moves engine slightly forward. How does input shaft fit correctly if it has been moved further away from engine?
