Funny story here (kinda unrelated). I work with this guy Joe who up until last year had this awesome '70 Monte Carlo with a 502 in it. When he went to have it painted, he dropped some insane money on the paint job. $15,000.
I mean...that car looked fantastic...the surface was flawless, like a mirror. He definitely got what he paid for. But after it got painted, he never brought it around. No Woodward, Autorama, weekday car shows, the employee car show we have here at the Tech Center every year. He never took it anywhere. Eventually he sold the thing and would later admit that he was so paranoid about his $15,000 paint job that he couldn't stand to own the car anymore. Unbelievable. We still give him crap about it to this day.
