Start with everything you can do that wont cost you money - make a thorough build thread with details on what you did, maybe put together some cool youtube/vimeo videos of the car. Stuff like that will at least give you more exposure on the internet.
That at least makes it more likely that your car gets noticed by someone who may want to build parts for that particular make and model.
