I'm installing one as we speak.. If you can put in a DSE mini-tub kit you can put in a LD three-link.

I've also heard very good things about the quadra-link. Fuel has one and Jason was very happy with the ride quality. Every system has it's compromises. Maybe you should post a thread in the suspension section asking this (that way we wont clutter up this thread)

As for the problem DSE found and fixed. Even after testing it's not uncommon to uncover an issue that only showed up over time. Look at the Ford GT.. tons of testing and huge $$ spent on design yet they still found a big problem down the line. Kudos to DSE for continuing to test thier product and push it beyond what's seen in street driving. And for coming up with a fix.
