So I just got out of the shower, where I manage to some how come up with good ideas, and I think I've decided what direction I want to go color wise.

The center piece(s) on 2nd gen TAs inside is the machine turned dash and GT steering wheel. I really like these two pieces and feel they are synonymous with these cars so I want to keep them. I don't want them to be bright though, especially the dash. Currently, it is since it's a home made brushed aluminum panel. I'd like to maybe bring out the steering wheel more since the spokes are just painted or coated black stock.

My thoughts are black with dark gray/graphite as the secondary color. The dash would stay brushed but would get a tinted coat over it hopefully to match the graphite color. I want the brushed metal to be obvious through the tinting though. I'd also like to do something similar to the steering wheel. I'm undecided on if I should make a brushed metal panel and tint it like the dash for inlays in the doors or just go with the same material I choose for the inlays in the seats. The seats inlays will be a different material than the bolsters or sides. I'm thinking vinyl bolsters and cloth or suede like material in the middle. I can't afford or justify real leather or suede. Headliner will be the same color I choose for the inlays and seat middles.

I've got some other tricks in mind like changing arm rests and door pulls. Maybe even changing out door handles. That type stuff is a way off though. I'm concentrating more on color right now.

So, did I paint an ok mental picture? Thoughts? Critiques? While I like lighter color interiors, Mike's Formula above is an excellent example, ultimately I prefer dark interiors. That's why I'm going to go black but I want something else in there to help break it up. What about a dark silver instead of gray/graphite?

Gauges are black and light up red at night.

No back seat. I'll cover that in black carpet all the way up to the package tray.

Thanks for reading my ramblings
