Personally I think the design portion should have no bearing on the winner of the shootout. It clearly needs to be separated into a show award or removed if it can make the difference in a podium position at a RACING EVENT where the car that scored higher in all track events lost because of style points to a car that got beat in all track events. These issues will show up more and more as competition gets tighter and tighter, and as long as changes are being made to correct issues like this at the next event to keep things fair, it will keep people coming back.
