How does a shop become a SEMA member?
I long time friend of mine has been in the auto repair business with his own shop for probably 35-40 years now. He still does the daily repairs but has been gradually transistioning in to doing restoration work mostly mechanical. I have semi-retired and he and I have discussed parterning together to get more into resto-mod type work. Along with the restorations we have talked about starting to sell performance parts as a side business since the closest speed shop is 40 miles away. As a first step in starting this parts side business I think we need to become a SEMA member. I know there are numerious SEMA members on this forum so my question is how dificult is it to become a SEMA member and what is the cost? Any information/advice would be appreciated.
