I like the dark, warm pewter color on that honda. Though it is in the neutral family, it has it has a different and timeless look to it. I like the idea of a subtle color break somewhere. I would probably go with a few shades darker, then match the wheels to that accent color.
Silver/pewter (neutrals) have been the most popular colors for new cars for almost 15 years now. They're easy to keep clean, look refined and european and are incredibly sellable. That's why home contractors always put gray/tan carpets and paint off-white walls. They're affraid to turn anyone away by taking a risk on the color. Bright red, Black, Blue and silver are timeless on cars. The other colors can be a little more risky since they are somewhat polarizing. Aqua/teal were huge in the 90s, now they look incredibly dated. Oranges, Coppers and Tangerine pearls are popular now but in 10 years....who knows.....
