I came across this kinda late but thought I would throw in my two cents for anyone else in the same boat. Everybody made very valid points regarding the pervious paint, solvent issues, and so on. My comment was really going to boil down to the competency of the shop. All of the afore mentioned issues are concerns but with a competent painter/shop they should know what's best based on what they see. If there's underlying paint issues they should be visible in the existing paint although difficult to see with an untrained eye. Bottom line is you get what you pay for. Scuff and shoot is a loose term and if you look at your photos, they did more than the term suggests and it looks like the end result is what you were looking for. unfortunately there is a lot of shops that will sell you on what they want to with little knowledge to back it up. With that said, your car looks bitchin and none of what was mentioned seems to apply. Looks like they did a good job.
