theyve punched the hemi out to 6.4 and are getting 510hp (more hp then that ive read), which is stock v10 power with less weight. i dont think Chrysler will do a crate v10 anytime soon. the 6.4 hemi out powers the stock v10, im thinking the next gen viper just might have a hemi in it. wouldnt a v10 hemi be monsterous? the after market will never be as nice for mopar or ford guys as it is for GM guys, but the new hemi is getting attention. mopar nuts will also pay more for stuff, but the ls1 and 5.7 hemi can be had for about the same price. not the offical MOPAR crate motor, but one through a dealer as "a replacement engine", (gotta know some people). check S&P out, the LS2 and 6.1 hemi are close in price. the coolest thing about GM is you can buy any engine they make as a crate motor with a warrenty, where mopar nuts have to buy the over priced crate 5.7 from MOPAR ($8000) or get them by other means, like knowing someone who works at a shop and can order one as a replacement engine for way less then the offical crate motor.
Also check out XV Motorsports on the links column to the left, theyre making stuff for new hemis now.
