It can be done with few problems if you do your homework. You'll need to get someone to setup a custom bin for the PCM to turn off the VSS check (along with the VATS and EGR) to prevent a check engine light and to keep the engine from running open loop all the time. Running closed loop is more desireable since it will help improve your gas mileage and part throttle drivability. I've done several LT1 swaps, so if you've got questions, feel free to PM me. A couple of suggestions: Be prepared for hidden expenses like a broken accessory bracket or an A/C delete pulley (the compressor will hit the frame on your 'bird if you don't relocate or remove it).
