Another option is to live with the 10 bolt. As long as it is the largest ring gear that is available in a 10 bolt (8.6 inch if memory serves), if you are not going to be regularly beating on it, and if you are running less than 500 HP, it will serve you well. Looks like it already has disc brakes. Just find a good shop to go through it and upgrade the axles, put in C-clip eliminators and a posi-unit and they work well.
Couldn't help notice to the hole on the fire wall and the dash panel behind it on the passenger side. Just curious what the plan was for that hole. Pretty sure you didn't do it.

Thanks for the input on the axle. I'll look into that. The 10-bolt should do fine with a stock LS1 for the meantime.
Funny you mention the hole in the firewall. It was the bright idea of a previous owner to run the LS engine harness into the cabin. To make matters worst, he cut into the seam.
The holes will be filled with new sheet metal.
