I don't know Glenn --- I just threw that out there since there was so much "to do" about the motor choice.
Here's my real take on it.... It's a very simple unassuming ordinary hot rod. I didn't build it for shows... so there's no trick fab... nothing that says "look at me" in a show car kind of way. So I think there's just nothing there that the judges thought was class winner material.
The '34 that won the class was super swoop -- big carbs busting out the hood - no hood sides... wild paint - big wheels.... a "show car". I thought it was hideous --- but hot rods are hot rods and as long as the owner loves it (as did the judges apparently) so be it.
