Yes they sent out a replacement. Hotchkis procures their springs from some place called "Best" in southern California. Hotchkis first claimed the weight of my two 10inch JL audio subs in the back of the car caused the spring failure. Once that hogwash was mythbusted, they finally admitted the spring wasn't tempered correctly. It snapped as I was going 35mph uphill in route to my gym. I now have a g-ling and can actually drive my car with confidence. I'll never buy another part from Hotchkis and will forever recommend against their line.  |
Material failure is something that cannot be helped. In mass production something can always slip through the cracks. It happens. Glad to hear they replaced your defective item.
