Banko-

Really it's not as complicated as you might imagine. We don't see the need to use a jig like other companies may do because you're not removing and replacing the upper control arm mount, therefore you're not modifying the location of the upper arms. I believe other vendors do it with a jig mostly for F and X body cars where they have you cut out the factory control arm mounts and install theirs. This changes the front geometry to match the Guldstrand mod and allows coilovers in one package. That's a lot of work we don't feel is necessary. Our bracket is designed to simply replace the factory shock mount, leaving the factory upper control arm mount in place. Our bracket is easily aligned and welded into the frame. On F & X body cars our Chicane kits allow you to still do the Guldstrand mod to your factory control arm mounts even with our coilover conversion kit installed.

In a nutshell, we designed ours for the average car guy, so the install of the Speedtech Chicane coilover conversion kits are simple and easy for anyone that will take the time to follow our instructions. We also know most average car guys don't read the instructions anyway, so we included plenty of photos and captions that should get most anyone through the install just fine.

Hopes this answers your question. Feel free to contact us directly if you have other specific questions, our Tech dept loves to talk about modifying cars to handle better. 435.628.4300
