A friend had that happen at Sears Point during the Jim Davis Memorial Drags in his 9.05 second '39 Chev Coupe at about 2/3 track.........he manage to get it back on and just nicked the wall in the process. Pretty exciting run. The car typically ran arrow straight, we couldn't figure out what the heck was going on. The drivers story was nothing short of hilarious.
