I have painless wiring harness, and the wires for the wiper motor were not utilized because I did not have a wiper motor. When I received the DSE wiper motor, I still did not need to use the Pigtail or wires from the Painless wiring for the wiper motor. yep, the DSE system is pretty much stand alone.
