LS VIN# is stamped on a pad at rear of drivers side on short block deck. Exactly "kitty corner" from where Gen1 Chevy block pad is located. Engine size is cast into block at rear of passenger side below. Cylinder head IE: 6.2 = LS3/L92 aluminum block 7.0 = LS7.
