Been there, almost didn't get back. My 2nd event, and still very green.
I dropped a rear wheel off the track at Music City 1 in the Parnelli, and crunched the back left. Didn't even know that my spare wouldn't fit over the bigger brakes that the Parnelli came with, plus it had staggered wheels. If it hadn't been for Jason at Gateway Classic Mustang loaning me their display wheel with BFG R1, I would have had tow charges, at least 1 extra day in hotel, taxis, and who knows what other expenses before I could get home, and that was just from Nashville to Memphis. Thanks again Jason!!! When I got home, I immediately started looking for used trucks and trailers, knowing that there was no way I would take that chance again with a high dollar car. I would drive Blu a few hundred miles, (not to race) and not be worried, but any further than that, and I'm taking the life boat. Now the JCG vette, Squirrelly, no worries!
