Track Virgin
So this is my first post here... I've been over on the p-t site for a few years, and while I love the various builds there, people over here talk about track days and stuff, so I thought I'd quit stalking and join. Now I can see the pictures...
After volunteering at the USCA event at Laguna Seca (last month?), I realized I needed to spend more time inhaling race gas exhaust. At any rate, I've signed up for my first track day at Thunderhill next weekend. On a dollar-per-hour basis, it seems to be a better deal than autocrossing, not that I've done a lot of that either...
I might have the oldest car out there. I'll be the one in the 1963 Falcon with terrible white paint (of varying tones, if you look closely) and quiet (old) mufflers. If you're lucky, you'll hear my brand-new throwout bearing squeal.
I don't have track tires, but I do have a motorcycle helmet.
