Yep I too learned a lot from DSE's old site, I hope they move over all the old pics as a pic is worth a thousand words!!! It's how I was able to do my mini-tub a few years ago....long before the Deep Tub was available.
I went with the bent down bars for the roll bar and placed them as high and far out as possible for the same reason, my son and his friends will be back there a lot! This is a family thing ya know!!
Nice to know the placement of the muffler will affect the final db, I had no idea. Also I might have to section the frame rail as you did to help tuck them up a little...I don't want to see the exhaust hanging down.
