How quickly it heat soaks has a lot to due with how much water is being flowed through the intercooler and how hard you're spinning the blower. We've been testing this on a dyno and have found some blowers will heat soak in 3 pulls on the dyno because the intercoolers are so restrictive to water flow. I can tell you a 4.0L whipple intercooler can be modified to flow 20 gpm.
