Default the right thing to do.

Maybe everyone should know the whole story: Yes, SW did want to buy our Mustang and we did agree to a price. In our final conversation two weeks ago long before it was on Ebay SW said "so whats it going to take to buy it?" I replied "the original amount we discussed" he replied " I have to change some stuff and ship it too, so I need to figure out if it's in the budget" I replied "let me know". I waited 2 weeks and never heard from SW. He claims he left a message that I never received and he has my email as well. After waiting my wife says put it on Ebay, SW see's it and now decides he wants it again, so he calls me and I make a deal with him without checking with my wife, now I don't care what anyone says, the car is hers and thats no BS, my name is not on the title. She says she won't sign the bill of sale to SW because theres already bids on Ebay and its not fair to the people who have already bid.
So here's my situation: do I risk divorce, piss of SW, piss off the bidders or all the other people who keep offering me money to end the auction or let my wife do it her way?
I decide to have my wife call SW and explain her decision.
I regret backing out of the deal with SW and the only way to be fair is let it run on Ebay. SW did have the oppritunity to buy the car before it went up for auction. What would you do? I think my wife made the right decision.
SW, I'm sorry your mad, you can still bid!
