So far we haven't seen them be any worse than a solid for durability. I plan to maintain them as I would a solid, the lifters and springs will get replaced every season for insurance.

Can you comment on valve float issues on a hyd roller turning 8500? How do you and Kurt get around it?

We are using a stud girdle that we make on the rockers , short travel lifters, and I also think how Kurt goes about setting up the valve springs helps as well, Kurt is a guru with these engines and knows so many tricks that are unconventional. The block also has a raised cam which translates to shorter pushrods and thus less deflection.
