Sounds like everyone had a hoot and kept the cars together for the most part.

It was a great time! Couldn't ask for better weather or overall track conditions. Greg was really starting to fly and feeling confident in the little pony midway through Saturday's sessions and it threw a shoe again. You know when you're throttle steering it through T7 you're having a good time! First it appeared to be a fuel delivery issue (pressure regulator) and on Sunday's third session it failed.
Hopefully the tear down of that motor will reveal the cause(s) of the reliability issues. When that motor is working proper it sounds great and more importantly the power delivery is controllable and abundant. That equals fun as all get out to drive which is what this is all about! Considering how he treats the motor at the very least he should get two or three seasons without ANY issues IMO.
The first session on Saturday Greg is right in front of me leaving the hot pits and punches it a little to test traction and leaves two 15' blackies..........and I'm just smiling thinking how great it is to be a kid again.
Sears Point is an awesome track, no time to relax and plenty of opportunity to get in trouble which makes it very exciting. Pictures are coming.
Having never been on the track before the first day was learning lines especially since I didn't get a chance to do a track walk. Saturday night I walked the track by myself and learned A LOT which helped my lines and confidence on Sunday. My last session on Sunday was the most enjoyable as I was confidently starting to carry a fair amount of speed, enough that I had to tell myself to keep it in check because my lines and techniques are still far from what I'd consider refined. The little Lotus is very user friendly and amazingly potent. Greg proved that Sunday afternoon against some very serious car and driver combinations.
