Default Viking Coilover Question

So, my car's front suspension is, in one word, garbage! The guy I bought it from must have cut the old factory springs or something because, when I hit a decent sized bump in the road, it looks and feels like I just hit the hydraulics! Not only that, but my inner fender wells slam down on my tires... Anyways, just not good and in need of replacement.

Thus, my dilemma - I think I eventually want to do a torque arm/coilover conversion to the rear suspension and, what would sensibly match that would be a set of tubular A-arms and coilovers up front. However, I don't really want to pull the trigger on that big of an expense right now.

So, I'm debating on whether I should grab a pair of drop springs to hold me over until I'm ready to do the full conversion, or if these Viking Coilovers with my factory A-Arms would be any good.

Does anyone have any personal experience running these coilovers with their factory A-Arms? If so, I'd love to hear your feedback. I like the idea of working in the right direction instead of dropping a couple hundred $ on parts I'm going to replace in the relatively near future, but I also don't want to buy something that doesn't work well.

Any advice/insight would be greatly appreciated!
