I decided to run a McCleod RST twin disc clutch with a McCleod steel billet flywheel and a Silver Sport 621 bellhousing. The bellhousing indexed nicely with .005" total runout. I could not get the transmission mated up using the plastic alignment tool provided with the clutch. I ended up getting the Ram clutch alignment tool yesterday and it worked great. The pilot bearing nose on the tool was initially about .002 oversize and would not slide into the pilot bushing. About 30 seconds with some 400 grit sandpaper brought the tool down to size. I was able to install the floater, top disc, and pressure plate with the tool in place. With the Ram clutch tool, the transmission seated perfectly the first time.
