Well, the curse continues... lol Took the car to a well known tuner in the area for a quick (thought to be) fine tuning and to get rid of the cause of rich and mass air volume codes. Been there for a week now. Two separate professional tuners are now involved and both are lost. The car is stuck at 4000 rpm due to a limiter set due to needing a crank relearn procedure. Tried tricking the computer by applying correct voltage to the brake input pin but the ECM refuses to acknowledge that and the fact that the car is not an automatic. They seem to think it is a bad ECM, but it is brand new from GM. Anyway, who knows how long it will be there. Said it is the first time they have ever had this many problems tuning an E38 ECM especially on such a mild configuration (no turbos, no supercharger, mild cam, headers, etc.).
