My client with the Chevelle had similar problems... too much HP plus he wanted to drive it on a regular basis... his old insurance company told him no way. He called Infinity and got a stated value policy without an issue, and brought his DB9, his Range Rover and his $3m house with him.

I helping a client right now that is trying to get a $325k car insured through State Farm who has the rest of his collection and they are asking for everything short of the blood type of the guy who manufactured the parts in the car.

Every insurance company is different... try someone else!
