Weakest link were the stock pistons which would blow up with too much boost or N20, also opti's were a weak point. The 95+ had a vented unit which was supposed to be a better design.
93-95 F-body LT1's were 275 hp
96-97 F-body LT1's were 285 hp
96-97 Ram Air/SS LT1's were 305 hp
92-96 Vette LT1's were 300 hp
96 LT4's were 330 hp

asking becuse i have a new LT1 that was given to me today,and was wondering if it was worth the effert to install in my 69 convertible with a turbo setup.im not planing on drag racing or dogging the car.i just want to cruse it and the setup to look nice under the hood.thanks on the info ,would like to know your opinion.
