If you don't know which transmission you are going to use then how do you know you'll need a shorter bellhousing?
If you end up buying a T-56 Magnum and a QuickTime Bellhousing then you can simply cut the bottom lip off the bell so it's even with the bottom of the transmission. There is only about a 1/2 inch lip hanging below the trans, so by trimming the lip you will essentially have a flat bottom housing. It won't be any lower than the trans.
This is a common practice with dirt oval track racecars.
