They fit ok without the inner side window guide brackets. But there will not have whole lot of support on upper edge without them and not mention glass guide issues

That's a huge gap. almost an inch ouch!!!

They look good and I will make them fit but figure I'll ask before I start cutting on door
isn't there a rubber door seal that fills that gap....I would double check that first....most early cars have a large weather fill front and back on the doors
