For those that are following along with this here is my most recent update.
New Billet fuel rails, adjustable fuel pressure regulator are installed and quite nice looking.
I lowered the mounts for the fuel pumps several inches and ended up with much happier fuel pumps. We were able to set the fuel pressure right where it needed to be at 58 labs and fire up the truck and the pumps sound so much better now. =)
My friend Ron and I have been working on getting it running better for the past few weeks and learning as we go. We were stumped for a long while as even though we had the MAF failed in the tune, the truck would not allow us to make any changes to the VE Table and we were getting no code for MAF not being there.
Ron finally figured out a few settings in the tune that we needed to change and we were finally able to fail the MAF and make changes to the actual correct VE Table. this was the last day that we were able to work on it. Ron took off for a week in the Desert and I then took off for a few days and headed to Vegas for a long weekend with the wife.
Weather is turning to fall weather up in Portland now so most likely this will be stuck in the garage for the next several months. I am really hoping that we can get a descent tune on it get it running and driving reliably and make a little boost so I can tear into it for this winters round of work.
