I was rereading through the thread trying to ID some parts Greg pawned off on me....Todd, I think you nailed it, or at least part of it. When I took the parts up to the machine shop to have Rick look them over, the valves are what caught his attention. He noticed the amount of heat or heat cycles and asked if it had an oiling issue. Surface of the valves looks fine, the heat marks are on the stem just down from the valve.
Everything else looks good, well besides the broken rocker. Turns out the pistons are huge and won't fit in a stock block.....I'm working on an aluminum and titanium wind chime with the spares.
