Default 70 Camaro 502RJ Install...

Well, the engine is in ...All went well except for a few glitches. The drivers side header is tight, but not really all that bad going in...the power steering pulley (March Ultra Front Mount) is making slight contact with the steering gear ( I may be able to slightly notch the steering gear housing). The RJ intake is NO WHERE NEAR clearing the steel cowl hood. I cut the sub-structure out of the hood where I needed to but am still 1 7/16 to high...ANY SUGGESTIONS??? I want to stay away from a taller cowl, and don't want to cut a hole in the hood Right now I'm contemplating having the intake runners shortened...the driveshaft is about two inches too long. I'll try to post a pic or two but think they're too big (1GB).
