Jeff, I've had DirecTV and was frustrated with service outages during bad weather/heavy clouds, which seemed to happen a lot (I lived in Seattle at the time). I'm with Uverse right now and couldn't be happier with the price and service, except that they don't offer MAVTV. I had Time Warner Cable before that and had regular outages and Internet connection issues. I also paid more for fewer channels than I'm paying with Uverse. MAVTV offers their programming to all carriers in HD at no extra cost. It's up to the provider as to whether or not they want to offer it to subscribers in HD. If someone's provider doesn't offer MAVTV, they can
demand it here.
