Yeah I don't see the value in that unless you just like the 5.3 moniker- and I do lol. I've been working with Shaun at AED (one of the best Coyote tuners on the west coast) and he's helping me design some of the parts and pieces I'll need to make it happy. Evidently these engines have an odd firing order that creates a funky pulse pattern between some of the cylinders. The stock headers are a Tri-Y design to capitalize on the pulses and help scavenge. The O2 sensors have to be placed at a specific angle, on a specific plane in the header to allow for optimum tuning. It's been an education to say the least. I'm going to be running the CJ intake as well, but with a mono blade throttle body which according to Shaun is the cat's ass. I guess we'll see. He's talking 500RW with a good intake, the right headers, CJ goodies, and his tune. In our light cars- that's mucho fun time.
