I have done the same in the past
along with many other engine failures
Most NorCal Shelby boys who track their
cars a lot tend to change their springs regularly
Depends on how high you rev it. 7000 plus
all the time does take its toll
You could always go out on the edge and
put a real Pontiac Motor in her
