This is not me speaking in an official capacity, just as a regular guy.

In my opinion the biggest concern with mounting the trans mount to the stock tub would be the strength of the stock floor. Even though there is a crossmember under the tub, slightly forward of where the trans bolts up, it will likely be less strong than a standard trans crossmember. Also, that crossmember is there to reinforce the stock chassis, which is what the front clip is mounted to. Make sure you won't weaken it.

Our crossmembers are made with two thick walled tubes so they are nice and stiff and don't allow deflection. If the trans mount flexes you can break the trans case.

IMO, you can build it, but it's going to be a heck of a lot of work, no one is going to see it (if that's important to you), and the energy might be better directed into other parts of the project.

It's also going to transmit a lot more noise into the cabin if you mount it to the floor. Fine if it's a racy car, not so great for a touring car.
