Yes, sometimes the communication process can be troublesome. No, there is no way for ANY of us to validate fitment of every possible combination of components.

I would put my money on DSE [and most other manufacturers] being able to tell you what DOES fit...but not what specifically does NOT fit. At any rate, information coming directly from the manufacturer is more credible than from the general public. The manufacturer has a vested interest in dispensing accurate information [their reputation]. The general public...maybe not as much.
Bret,

I tried to send you an email or PM, but no option. I totally agree with what you're saying, but I didn't quite get that from them on a few occasions. Not to throw spears or anything because that's not the intent here, but just the first hand knowledge wasn't there. I realize the guys answering the phones are typically not the guys turning the wrenches. I just know there are quite a few builders that frequent this site. Guys like Vince and Rodger Lee have been awesome in this aspect. I truly rely on their experience and others over a sales staff. Trust me, if it was really just as easy to call DSE and get what I needed, I wouldn't have posted. Not to mention this post was on Sat, I truly wanted to get the project moving so I was looking for a weekend answer to make a purchase. Being on the West coast, calling an East coast company can be challenging as well. This site is kind of a "set it, and forget it" meaning I can come back at any hour and see previous post.
