Thanks Steve! My car is Crystal Gray Metallic, a new color for 05. When I was first thinking of buying one I was set on either Pearl Blue or Platnium Silver as the color choices (in that order) until I went to the dealer and saw the new Crystal Gray. It looks really nice in the sun. As you said, somewhat understated, but really nice looking. I'm seriously considering painting my Chevelle the same shade.

Jody, I didn't think it was OK for a Japanese car to tread on your driveway!

Next time I'm up that way I'll bring it.

Andrew nailed all the reasons why I bought the thing. The car really is an very nice all-around package. The level of cornering grip is nothing short of stupid even on imperfect surfaces. It's not perfect though, so far I have 2 gripes:

1. The optional armrest extension, while a nice armrest, works even better as an "elbow stopper" when trying to grab 2nd, 4th, or 6th. It has to go! Hopefully the dealer will swap it with a standard low-lid for me.
2. The throttle-by-wire is laggy in let-off response; i.e. you let up slightly on the throttle for a shift and expect the RPMs to fall a bit, but instead the RPM's just hang where they were when you put the clutch in rather than falling. To get the RPM's to fall fast and far enough so you're rev-matched for an upshift requires you to completely take your foot off the throttle and then get back into it. I'm finally getting used to it after 200 miles, but it's a completely different throttle "feel" than any other car I've driven. I wish I could get into the ECU and change things around to respond like a good ol' cable/mechanical linkage setup.

I need to get a license plate frame for the back, one of my friends suggested having one made which reads "This is my slow car."
