LOUD!

They don't drone like flowmasters and are much deeper and not tinny like 40-series Flowmasters, but my experience with Spintechs is they are loud SOB's especially on older cars without catalytic converters unless you get the bigger cased ones (i.e. sportsman, sportsman XL, Truck/RV.)

A friend has a set of Pro-Street's on his '70 Chevelle and they are really, really loud. Loud at idle, loud at cruise, really loud at WOT... but the tone is great. Did I mention they're loud? Another friend has the same Pro-Streets on his highly modded 94 Caprice but with the hi flow cats in front of them they are reasonable in volume especially at idle and light load.

Personally I wouldn't go with anything smaller than a Sportsman, and I'd even steer you towards the XL or Truck/RV versions but I like my car on the quieter side especially when cruising. If you want them to be reasonably quiet at cruise but still loud at WOT I'd suggest the Sportsman XL's.

While they sound good you can do better than Spintech if you're looking for power-- Magnaflow, Borla XR-1, Dynomax Ultraflo all come to mind.
