I started a frame off restoration on my 67 RS Camaro io December 2004 in a friend's Dad's garage. There was 3 quarter panels welded on driver side and 2 quarter panels on passenger side. There was also steel (not aluminum) pepsi can used on the quarter panels. I bought mine out of a barn in 1983, but I always wondered what was under the quarter panels. I never took any photos of the quarter panels, but you will find all sort things under paint. My 67 RS Camaro is probably the longest build on Lateral-g.net, but it is at Sled Alley now. If you plan to eliminate the front bumper, then you might want to remove the fender extensions seam. Depends if your shop can do it in lead, but mine is weld solid and smoothed in lead. I had to keep the front bumper, but it is due to the state front license plate laws. I will post a thread of it soon.
