The car needed paint. Eight footer kinda thing. I was going to wait, but...projects snowball. Oddly I told myself I would never take one down to bare metal, but as you stated, it's the only way to know for sure. Jeff, Jim, Jody, Greg Weld, Seig, Steve Rupp and a few others where here at the house during SEMA 2014 and they all looked over the car. All experts on these cars and none of them saw any signs. Well other than what looked like a few paint bubbles on the roof. I think I would have been more surprised if it didn't need at least one panel.
