I've never used the GMPP harness stock. I think the blue wire just turns the fan on or off.

We reworked the system to do a Pulse Width Modified (PWM) fan. The ECM has a look up table on how hard the fan should run given engine coolant temp., A/C head pressure and Inlet air temp. Any of those 3 inputs determine the fan speed.

The old CTS-V used a twin fan set up and two relays. You could use the GMPP ECM for one fan and a discreet switch for the 2nd fan. Maybe one fan at 200 F and the 2nd fan at 210 F.
