I swapped my Explorer rear calipers around to the front of the axle to gain frame clearance. I had to switch calipers side to side to keep the bleeder screws up top and extend e-brake cables as they now enter from the rear.

I had an instructor at a HPDE event tell me by putting the calipers on the front it creates more braking grip as the brake is pulling the axle down whereas when on the back it pulls the axle up when brake applied.

I go both ways on that, thinking it makes sense and not sure if it does or not. If so, it's just an added benefit from something I did out of necessity for room.
