Thanks for the input, The car is a 72 so it is a corprate 8.5 10 bolt they are all the same no "O" type here. The third member on the ford 3:55 31 spline posi at 150.00 is a steal, I actually already purchased it for my junk pile if it is used for the car then we will apply the price the 9 inch housing is new and already has all the correct mounts installed and width for the application and is the best price out there, To actualluy buy a ford 9in for a hundread bucks from a junk yard and make it fit a 72 cutlass would cost way more in the long run with the posi and gears needed for the application and cutting the housing and new housing ends for the aplication. The 12 bolt if it were the correct gear ratio was a steal.. but is just a bit low for what we are trying to do.
